There are two places in Lao Cai province were awarded Vietnam Record. "O Quy Ho" is the longest mountain pass in Vietnam and terrace in Sa pa district has the most step in Vietnam-121 steps.

Following the state of Culture, Sports and Tourism Department in Lao Cai province, Vietnam Record organization will award record certificate for these places on 2nd November 2013. That time will also organize 110th Sa pa Tourism Anniversary. Its name is “Sa pa Street Festival 2013” and it will take place on 1st November. This is the first time the largest anniversary will be held. Many special activities will be held in Sa pa district Lao Cao province with theme “colorful Sapa”.

1. O Quy Ho mountain pass
The mountain pass is name following the name of bird .It was said that there was a special bird with passionate cry accompany with the romantic love story of young couple on legend. They had a passionate love but obstacle final.

Coming on the top of the mountain pass, visitor can watch the wonderful view with green jungle, mountain, fog and cloud. The sea of white clouds are floating on the blue mountain like as in the heaven. It’s so different from the busy.

2. Terrace in Lao Cai province
There are 121 steps of the terrace in Lao Cai province. It’s considered the most beautiful terrace on over Vietnam. The terrace is over 100 years old.

Visitor can go to Lao Cai in October or November to watch the flower in bloom of tam giac mach flower-a special flower only bloom in the Vietnam northwest highland.
