The types of visas

There are several types of visas that can be obtained for Vietnam, including tourist visas, business visas, and work visas. The requirements for each type of visa vary, but generally, a visa applicant will need to provide documentation that demonstrates the purpose of their visit to Vietnam, as well as evidence of their financial security and/or their ties to their home country.

Vietnam visa fees

There are various Vietnam visa fees that applicants will need to pay in order to obtain a visa. The most common type of visa is a tourist visa, which is valid for 30 or 90 days. The fee for a tourist visa is currently $10.

In addition to the tourist visa fee, applicants will need to pay a $25 stamping fee, which is payable upon arrival in Vietnam. The total cost for a tourist visa is therefore $35.

Business visas are also available, and the fee for a business visa is currently $100. The stamping fee for a business visa is also $25, making the total cost for a business visa $125.

If you are planning to stay in Vietnam for more than 30 or 90 days, you will need to apply for a visa extension. The fee for a visa extension is currently $45, and the process takes a minimum of three working days to complete.

It is important to note that visa fees are non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of your visa application. So, if your visa application is denied, you will not be refunded the visa fee.

How to apply for a Vietnam visa?

There are a few different ways that you can apply for a Vietnam visa. You can apply in person at the Vietnamese embassy or consulate in your country, or you can apply through a third-party visa service.

To apply in person at the Vietnamese embassy or consulate, you will need to gather the required documents and fill out the application form. The required documents include your passport, a passport photo, and the application fee. The application form will ask for your personal information, your reason for travel, and your travel itinerary.

If you choose to apply through a third-party visa service, they will take care of all the paperwork for you. All you will need to do is provide them with your passport and application fee. They will then submit your application to the Vietnamese embassy or consulate on your behalf.

The application process for a Vietnam visa can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, so it is important to plan ahead.
