The Vietnam Embassy website in the UK says that Approval Letters are not always accepted by border entry officials in Vietnam. They say that ONLY a visa issued by the Embassy is valid. Can you please clarify??

Regarding your concern, we would like to say that the vietnam visa on arrival is applied to those traveling to Vietnam by Air ONLY. So, if you enter Vietnam by air, the visa approval letter is still accepted without any problem, but if you enterĀ Vietnam by other ways (not by Air), the visa approval letter is not accepted. So, please consider before applying for your visa.
